One question we get asked is "How long does your soap last?" Based on normal usage you're soap should last a few weeks or more.
That's not an easy question to answer. It depends on how you use it and how you store it. If you use a washcloth or sponge you should be able to get longer use out of your soap. When you use the bare bar and lather up several times it will go away faster.
Storage is another issue. You want to keep your soap dry in-between use. Use a slotted soap dish so the water drains out. If you leave it sitting on the tub moisture sits under the bar and dissolves faster. Keeping your bar in the shower all the time allows the moisture and spray of the shower to dissolve your bar faster.
Our bars typically last longer than commercial soaps. Just take care of your handmade soap and it will take care of you, giving you a longer time to enjoy each bar.
Keep your questions coming. We love to know what you think and value your opinions.
